Dum dum dum! It’s time for the dreaded UM.Net Status Update! What’s been happening?
The story of the Hero/ine’s Journey is everywhere. From Hollywood to novels and even to news stories. It is the story of the person who leaves their home to pursue a quest – a quest that involves going through trials in order to gain the ‘prize’. This makes it easy to forget that in some ways the return is what the Journey is all about.
A touching reunion… Regular readers will know I try not to clutter the blog with little posts, but I haven’t had anything move me like this for a very long time!
I love having comments on this blog. The value of a blog also lies in a good comments section. However, there has been an occasional comment I’ve had to get rid of. This policy explains why – what isn’t acceptable. I’m including some personal stories to spice up the post.

What’s been happening? As regular readers will know, I haven’t been posting much for the past few weeks. I just thought I’d give a bit of an update so nobody thinks that I’ve been kidnapped, or given up on blogging.
Thank you for all your emails, but that was an April Fools’ joke! It was my mistake that I made earlier versions of that post a bit too realistic. Sorry! I feel like an absolute caveman now.
This has been a hard decision to arrive at, but I’m changing the direction I am taking my life, and hence this blog. There will be some major changes. Please find out how this will affect you here.
